Why a Capability Assessment should come before personal training
Most people know they should train. Very few know where they should start.
That is why we created The Warm Up Capability Assessment.
Before building a training plan, we first want to understand your body, your movement, your strength, your recovery and what you actually need next.
Too often, people start personal training with random exercises or hard workouts before anyone has properly assessed how they move, what they can tolerate or where the real gaps are.
The Capability Assessment gives you a clearer starting point.
It looks at your:
- Strength
- Mobility
- Movement quality
- Posture and control
- Recovery
- Lifestyle habits
- Confidence with training
- Overall physical readiness
This helps us build a programme around you, not a generic workout.
For one person, the priority may be building strength.
For another, it may be improving mobility, reducing stiffness, developing better control or rebuilding confidence after time away from training.
The assessment helps remove guesswork.
It gives you a clearer picture of where you are now, what needs attention and what direction your training should take.
From there, we create a more focused 90-day direction so your progress can be measured and reviewed over time.
At The Warm Up Studio, we believe personal training should be structured, personal and progressive.
Not random.
Not intimidating.
Not just about making you tired.
The goal is to help you become stronger, more capable and more confident in your body.
The Capability Assessment was created by founder Christian Mantuano, after more than 14 years working as a personal trainer and strength coach, including time at Third Space London and working in Norway.
That experience shaped one clear belief:
Before we train the body, we need to understand it.
Assess. Train. Reassess. Progress.
