The Warm Up Studio – Founder Story

The Warm Up Studio was born from a vision that lived quietly in my mind and heart for years, a vision I often shared with my clients. I wanted to create something different. Something human. Real. Grounded. A space where people could train with intention, feel seen and breathe a little easier.

But the path to building that space was far from straight.

Before any of this existed, I returned to London with just £57 in my pocket. I had spent five years living in Norway, first working in sales, then becoming a PT, eventually landing a job at a luxury gym. Everything was going well until I took a risk: I decided to go freelance in a country where I didn’t speak the language. I invested what I had… and everything went downhill. My finances collapsed. My confidence followed. I hit a depression I didn’t recognise myself in.

So I made a decision:

Move back to London. Rebuild from nothing. Start again.

I stayed with my auntie for a year to save money. Applied to work at Third Space and after four interviews, I got the job. That moment changed everything. I suddenly found myself working alongside two coaches I admired and wanted to learn from. I trained hedge funders, business owners, high performers, the kind of people who silently become mentors without even knowing it. I asked endless questions, absorbed everything and worked relentlessly.

I did 12 hour days.
160 sessions a month.

Became a top performing personal trainer at Third Space.
Saved every penny.
Bought my first flat.

At the same time, my son was becoming a teenager a young man. I knew I had to show him what resilience looks like. In life you only get two options when failure hits: lift yourself up or let yourself fall down. I chose to rise, because he needed to see that.

I’m originally from Ecuador, where hustling isn’t a choice, it’s survival. Nothing is guaranteed when you come from nothing. So to go from a childhood like that, to becoming a top seller in Norway, a top personal trainer at Third Space, buying a flat in London, and now opening my first studio in central London… it’s something I carry with pride. It taught me one thing: you can have the best body in the room, but if your mind isn’t fed and strengthened, nothing around you will change.

And that belief is exactly what shaped The Warm Up Studio.

Self-funded.
Independent.
Tucked away on a quiet side street in Soho.
Small, private, exclusive.

A place where clients feel genuinely special, because they are. In just one year, we’ve welcomed people like Gabby Logan, film producers, CEOs, investors, and high-performing lawyers. Not because we shout the loudest, but because the space has a feeling you can’t capture in photos or videos. You only understand it when you walk through the door.

It’s calm.
It’s personal.
It’s intentional.
It’s built with care, not noise.

The Warm Up Studio isn’t just a gym.
It’s the result of a journey of rebuilding, resilience, and belief.
It’s a home for movement.
A home for growth.
A home for people who want to invest in becoming stronger, inside and out.
